Kalgoorlie Golf Course opened in 2010. Stretching 6,768 yards from the back tees, the par-72 course features nine holes that have been reversed since the course first opened (with the exception of the finishing hole on each course). Highlights include the short dogleg left par-4 No. 3 (‘Points of Gold’) and the longest par-3, No. 17 (‘Ladies Have Nowhere to Go’).
Many of the holes are named after people who helped develop the area and brought prosperity to the town through their work in the local mining industry. It is therefore fitting that Kalgoorlie-born Graham Marsh has the 18th hole (‘Marsh End’) named after him, as he helped the town move into a new era of economic success.
