The Shanghai Links Golf Country Club is a standard 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus himself, covering an area of 165 acres. It is located in Sanjia Port of the East China Sea (Pacific Ocean) at the mouth of the Yangtze River. Basically, every hole is next to the lake, so the course is known as the "Shanghai Venice Course".

The unique geographical location of the course on the coast of the East China Sea allows it to enjoy the sea breeze all year round. The greens covered with bent grass are smooth and rational, and the ball speed is kept above 9 all year round. The fairways covered with seaside quercetin are as comfortable as carpets. The fairways with alternating cold and hot grass are green all year round. The landscape obstacles of tall fescue grass add uncertainty and show the style of links, just like appearing in the home of golf-Scotland. Since 2006 Since 2007, the golf course has won the honors of "China's Top Ten Golf Courses", "China's Top Ten Clubs", "National Best Golf Course Quality", "National Best Golf Course Design", "Best Links" and other industry-wide unanimous praises selected by well-known authoritative magazines.

The total length of the golf course is 7025 yards, the par is 72, and the length of each fairway ranges from 100 yards to 525 yards. A Tang Dynasty-style teahouse is built outside the 5th hole for golfers to rest. The golf course is close to the mountains and lakes, fully reflecting the natural scenery of the Jiangnan Plain Delta. The water surface that is cleverly introduced by taking advantage of the situation has added obstacles and difficulty to the golf course. The terrain of the golf course is relatively flat, but it cannot be easily conquered. Because the golf course is close to the lake, there is wind blowing from the lake basically every day. Wind is often the enemy of golfers. Due to its instability, it is a great challenge for golfers.
