Silky Oak is a regulation par-72 layout. However, it is conceptually different from other courses in that the 18 holes are based on 18 greens, but only 9 fairways. The shared fairways are extra-wide to accommodate holes playing in either direction and the greens are quite large as well. However, unique green complexes and severely undulating land require short game finesse to score well. Most holes on the course play to panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The half-way houses located on top of the hills have extra special breathtakingly scenery. Be sure to stop here between nines to really take in the magic of the area.
