Skillfully navigating the middle holes is key to improving scores. The OUT course is a forested hillside course with some undulations, with the difficulty particularly heightened around the greens. The IN course is flat, with tee shots to the center of the fairway being crucial. Particularly noteworthy are holes 1 and 16. Hole 1 offers the only downhill view of Kumamoto city, with OB areas on both sides making it challenging. Careful club selection is essential due to the elevated green. Hole 16 is a straight hole with views of the second airport line, offering breathtaking scenery. However, the fairway is narrow, with added distance and OB areas on both sides, creating a mentally challenging hole.
