The Golf course was designed by Late Tun Ghafar Baba and was opened in 1987. The course is divided into 2 championship courses namely The Lakes and The Hills. The Lakes was awarded "Super 18 Golf Holes in Malaysia" and "2nd Most Difficult hole in Malaysia (Hole No.2)" by ParGolf 2012 and 2007 respectively. Hole No.15 is acclaimed the "Beauty & the Beast". The Hills was awarded "3rd most difficult hole in Malaysia (Hole No. 7A)" by ParGolf 2011.
