The course is rather short, playing only a little over 6800 yards from the back tees. However, there is plenty here to tempt and punish the overly complacent golfer. The relatively garden-like qualities and resident population of foul and deer may initially command more of your attention than the golf course, but after a double-bogey or two your concentration will re-focus to the more immediate golfing tasks at hand.
A good score will be based on hitting narrow fairways and avoiding the water hazards that front several of the excellent par-3's. The best of the short holes is the par-3 11th, where the island green requires good confidence to hit a strong tee shot over the water and carry the bunker blocking the front of the green.

The course is not long, playing 6,700 yards from the back tees and 5,300 yards from the front tees. There are 5 sets of tees ensuring that all golfers can find suitable enjoyment. Accuracy is more important than length at Bangkok Golf Club with water in play on all but 3 holes. With mature trees and 12 large lakes dominating the landscape players are required to navigate their way around the course to small and typically fast greens.

A feature of the course is the Par 3s with three of the four playing over water headlined by the signature 5th hole island green where anything missing the green will find the water. At 150 yards from the back tee it is not a long hole but requires a precise iron to a small green that sits in the middle of a large man-made lake. The 11th hole is also an island green that plays a little longer with the green having a fringe making it not as daunting as the 5th but still a fun challenge for all levels.
