Guangdong Foshan Emerald Lakes Golf Club is a 18-hole 72 par forest golf course, covering an area of 1600km2. Designed by Joe F. Oberinger, the chief designer from J.F.O company, the course is built on and around several small hills in a mature woodland with an interesting mix of holes. The most dramatic is the signature 6th, it is the prettiest but also the hardest on the course. For those mid to high handicapper, most other holes are fairly straight forward with generous fairways with little to no rough, but only if you stick to the right tee as the blue is at a lengthy 6,737 yards, go to the forward tee if you lack distance and you will enjoy the round more.
